"If you are an atheist you do have to believe that the main point in all the religions of the world is simply one huge mistake. If you are Christian, you are free to think that all those religions, even the queerest ones, contain at least some hint of truth." -C.S. Lewis
*Two divisions for religions...which one do you believe?
Do you believe that God is beyond good and evil? We humans call one thing good and another thing bad. or A God who takes sides, who loves love and hates hatred. Who wants us to behave in one way and not in another.:
Pantheism:
-God is beyond good and evil, God is identical to universe & nature, Developed by Hegel Prussian philosopher.
Christianity:
-God is definitely good, God made the universe like a man composing a tune, God is separate from the world & things in the world contrary to His will.
**If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning; just as if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark...
"...Dark would be a word without meaning." -C.S. Lewis
***Read Lamentations - A king who had everything yet had nothing***

-no sin, no hell, no devil, no redemption = no cross

***Read Isaiah - man of unclean lips, coal, etc***
Dualism:
-Two independent forces, One good & one bad, This universe is the battlefield in which they fight it out.
Christianity:
-Ultimate God & fallen angel, Evil is a parasite not an original thing, Universe is at war but more like a civil war; a rebellion
*Perfect Penitent/ lunatic.evil.true
"Laying down your arms, surrendering, saying you're sorry, realizing that you have been wrong track and getting ready to start life over again from the ground floor..." -C.S. Lewis
The restart formula:
What is Christianity.
-Christ was killed for us, Death washed our sins, His death disabled death, no cross = no restart
Laying down your arms
**"Darkness cannot drive out darkness only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -Martin Luther King Jr**
"Besides being complicated, reality, in my experience, s usually odd. It is not neat, not obvious, not what you expect." -C.S. Lewis
"Dear Lord, help us to step out in FAITH! Amen! :)
So this was all the notes from class today and I hope I didn't really miss any but we learned so much today. We can't be scared to be wrong. Be bold and step out into what you think God wants you to do!!!
